Sterling Silver Mountain Necklace of Mount Si, Cascade Mountains, Washington, U.S.A
Mountain Necklace from my Mountain Collection This is a sterling silver mountain necklace forged in the shape of the profile of Mount Si, a popular hiking area in Washington State near the town of North Bend, WA just off Interstate 90. Mount Si (pronounced sigh) rises abruptly from the Snoqualmie River valley to an elevation of 4,167 ft. The coordinates are 47°30′27″N 121°44′24″W. The mountain was named after a local homesteader Josiah "Uncle Si" Merritt. The Snoqualmie Valley was an important area for Native American trade and in one story of origin of the Snoqualmie Tribe; a cedar rope was used to swing between Mount Si and Rattlesnake Mountain on the southern side of the valley.
• Sterling Silver forged 16 gauge wire
• Sterling Silver 17 inch with extension to 18.5 inches

The inspiration for this collection is from a desire to capture the beauty of the mountain I see every day. The Cascade Mountains of Washington are truly an inspiration in their majesty and diversity. See more to come in the collection.
